Why Donate?
- Help accom Providers avoid big Traveltech and big commissions.
- These global giants employ very few Australians and pay very little tax.
- Guests will also benefit from the savings, e.g., lower rates and room upgrades.
- Local communites will keep approx. $100 million more travel spend every year.
Who Are We?
TripAlytics is a small Traveltech company operating in Port Stephens NSW since 2012.
Our search technology helps users find accommodation and book direct.
Our mission is to help steer the Tourism Economy away from Online Travel Agents towards booking directly with Providers.
By helping accom Providers avoid large middleman commissions we also help their Guests get better accom and lower prices.
Giant Global Traveltech
Online Travel Agents (OTA) such as Booking.com and Expedia are middlemen and they are very good at what they do.
We think they are an important part of the Tourism Economy; however, we also think they have too much market power.
For example, before Wotif became part of Expedia Group, Providers paid a 10% commission. Providers now pay 15-20% for essentially the same service.
Avoiding big commissions is good for Providers and Guests; the Tourism Economy and the broader community.
These global giants are largely foreign-owned and employ very few Australians; pay very little tax and send most of their profits to shareholders overseas.
In addition to high commissions, OTAs use their enormous resources and market power to ensure that Providers appear at the bottom of internet search results.
The only way that many smaller and independent Providers such as motels and caravan parks can get noticed is to list on the OTA platforms.
TripAlytics can help. Our content and marketing platforms are highly optimised for Google Ads and Paid Search. We get Providers noticed.
(We get the irony, by-the-way, of using giant global Adtech to push back against giant global Traveltech.)
How Your Donation Helps
The more donations we receive, the more "Lookers and Bookers" we can send directly to accom Providers.
Our largest expense is online advertising and most of your donation will go to Paid Search.
Other significant expenses include:
- Technology – Maintenance and development;
- Content – Reviewing and adding properties;
- Advertising – Managing online campaigns; and
- People – Time and skills of our team.
Donating Strategically
Please contact us to discuss a "Book Direct" campaign targeting specific markets, for example, caravan parks in The Kimberley or motels in Outback NSW.
Entities that can benefit include:
- Caravan and motel associations;
- Local councils that own accommodation;
- Towns heavily dependent upon tourism; and
- State Tourism Authorities and client regions.

Stripe's platform meets the highest security and compliance certification standards including PCI DSS Level 1.
All donations are processed in Australian dollars (AUD) by Stripe.
We do not collect or store any personal information about our donors.
We do not collect or store any donor cardholder account details.
Refunds
Refunds requested within seven (7) days of the date of donation will be refunded the full amount.
Donations will not be refunded for requests made more than seven (7) days from the date of donation.
Stripe fees and charges may apply including a $25 chargeback fee.
